WASHINGTON (SBG) – Budweiser will soon be rolling out a new beverage minus the buzz.
Anheuser-Busch is hopping on the bandwagon when it comes to alcohol-free drinks. According to CNN, the company will debut a national ad campaign Wednesday for "Bud Zero," which supposedly tastes similar to normal Bud Light but contains only 50 calories.
The drink originally had a soft launch back in March.
CNN reports former NBA player-turned-entrepreneur Dwayne Wade is lending a hand with the project, who says he hopes the drink attracts athletes, health-conscious people and beer fans who want to be responsible in social settings. Wade will also be featured in the ad campaign.
"You don't always want to walk away being hungover or with a buzz," said Wade. "I loved the idea of being part of the conversation without having to drink alcohol."
Bud Zero will be priced similarly to Budweiser, according to CNN, and will first be sold in 12-pack and 16-ounce single cans. 6-packs of 12-ounce bottles will hit shelves in November.
