Authorities are searching for an individual who allegedly broke into a Chipotle restaurant and ate a tray of barbacoa (pulled beef) meat on New Year's Day in Northwest Washington.

The unidentified person "forced the doors open" at Chipotle and destroyed an alarm control box. Police say the incident occurred at 601 F Street NW.

According to investigators, the suspect sat on a stool in the restaurant when a man walked in. After being told to leave by the man, the suspect went to a nearby McDonald's.

The general manager for that D.C. McDonald's spotted the suspect sitting on a stool in the restaurant while it was closed.
