Ben & Jerry's wants in on the ever-growing CBD industry.

The company, known for its outlandish and imaginative flavors, announced plans to launch a CBD-ice cream fusion on Thursday -- pending the FDA's approval, of course.

Right now, the FDA doesn't allow CBD in food and drinks.

A public hearing on its legalization is set for May 31, and Ben & Jerry's submitted a comment to be considered.

"We're doing this for our fans," said CEO Matthew McCarthy. "We've listened and brought them everything from Non-Dairy indulgences to on-the-go portions with our Pint Slices. We aspire to love our fans more than they love us and we want to give them what they're looking for in a fun, Ben & Jerry's way."

The company wants fans to stay updated, so you can sign up for updates on their website.
